The recently-held AfTLD General Assembly Meeting in Bamako, Mali saw the presentation of an impressive AfTLD Update. Strategic partnerships are being formed, the new website is ready for comments, a newsletter is almost ready for print and a membership drive is underway. On a sobering note, the challenges noted in the proposed 5-year Strategic Plan were reviewed, namely:
-- Many AF ccTLD are not technically up and doing
-- Some AF ccTLD still operated from Outside continent technically
-- Many AF ccTLD operate in non-sustainable basis
The AfTLD Board is scheduled to approve the 5-year Strategic Plan in December.
