ALAC tries to claim credit for ending domain tasting

In a note posted to the ALAC list entitled "Domain Tasting Declared Dead", Alan Greenberg writes:

"Too bad the ALAC did not get credit for initiating this example that "illustrates the success of ICANN's consensus-driven, bottom-up policy development process".

Not to rain on the ALAC's parade, but the ALAC:
  • ignored for a full year an ICANN Staff report on the topic
  • took no action whatsoever until nagged by NARALO members to finally get something done.
